Typical steps in a INDIE implementation

Each step is usually reviewed by an administrator/instructional designer:

    Signing up for a site

    5 minutes. You can create your own site on our sign up page

    Customizing your site

    1 hour. This includes customizing your site with your own logo, color scheme, URL, and social media icons. If required, we can provide web design consulting services to help you with any customizing needs that you might require.

    Creating accounts for administrators and instructors

    20 minutes. This is usually easily done using our web form option for creating accounts. We also support many other kinds of account creation, such as API, LDAP, email invitations, or bulk import.

    Configuring the course catalog

    20 minutes. This simply requires selecting from several layout options. We recommend using attractive pictures for each catalog category, which can easily be purchased from a stock photo site.

    Configuring e-commerce (optional)

    15 minutes. We integrate with Stripe (recommended), Authorize.net, PayPal, PayUbiz, and PayU Latam.

    Creating an outline of each course

    A few hours per course. This requires basic instructor skills and domain knowledge in order to determine what the course will cover.

    Creating the materials for each module

    A few hours per module. This is the most time intensive part of implementation, and is wholly dependent on whether new materials need to be created or existing materials can be embedded or repurposed.

    Creating the assessments for each course

    1 hour per assessment. All types of assessments can be created easily. Comprehensive randomized quizzes that select from a question bank can take a little longer.

    Beta testing the courses

    1 day per course on average depending on the complexity of the course.

    Creating learner accounts

    30 minutes if using a bulk upload. We also support many other kinds of account creation, such as self sign-up, API, LDAP, email invitations, and purchasing a course via our e-commerce system.
